Teetz, Britt and I hung out tonight to watch the series premier of "Tommy Lee Goes To College", a little out of curiosity and a lot out of wanting to see how our fair university would be portrayed. Luckily, they didn't make everyone in Nebraska look like country bumpkins, thank goodness. Although I'm not sure why it would have bothered me, I am not even from this God-forsaken state. Sorry, I don't know where the sudden hostility came from. Could it be that I am afraid I will never leave, as was the somewhat-theme of my previous grad school post? Who knows. But yes, the show was fun and we are going to be watching it at Teetz's every Tuesday now. We recognized tons of people we knew, so for a campus of 22,000 students, that's pretty neat I suppose.
But back to grad school. I was talking about the different places I was planning on applying, and it was totally by coincidence that Teetz is applying to two of the same schools! How awesome would that be! He's applying to Washington, Colorado State, Wisconsin, and NC State. I am also planning on applying to the 1st and the 4th. Pretty sweet. He looked afraid. I highly doubt we will end up going to the same grad school because at this point Illinois is my best choice, as it is one of the top schools in two of the areas I am most interested in. However, who knows, I may not even go to grad school. But if I don't go to grad school I don't get the doctorate and if I don't get the doctorate I don't get the Escalade. I WILL have my Escalade. Maybe I will let Teetz drive it if he goes to the same school as I do. I think the opportunity to drive a hott Escalade is incentive enough, and Teetz can be pretty material sometimes. Unfortunately we just don't always like the same material things. Ah well. It's bad enough Britt is going to UNMC, I don't think I can survive more school without at least having one of them around to distract. That's my job.
